We are currently accepting new patents

The surgery website is a most effective way of giving our patients access to help and the latest information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It contains complete information about all the services we offer. It also details how the practice is organised and introduces our doctors, other medical and administrative staff and describes their various responsibilities.

Our early morning surgery is on a Wednesday starting at 7.00am.  
Pre-bookable appointments for the doctor are available.  If our early morning surgery
is to be changed any time during the year we will try give our patients as much notice as possible.

Consultations are by appointment only and can be arranged by telephone, online access or in person at reception. Telephone consultations can also be arranged.

Protected Learning Time/Staff Training

One Wednesday per month the surgery will only be open during the morning.  The surgery will close from 12.30pm onwards and will re-open the following morning.

7 Day Extended Access Service 

South Sefton Primary Healthcare is providing routine general practice appointments for any person registered with a GP practice in South Sefton.

The service is provided at:

Litherland Town Hall, Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, L21 9JN

Weekday evenings: 5pm-8pm

Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays: 10am-1pm

Please ring the Practice if you require an appointment with a GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse between these times.

Please note that this is not an urgent care service or drop-in-centre.  All appointments must be pre-booked through your own GP Practice.

Out of Hours

If you require urgent medical assistance that cannot wait until the surgery reopens please hang up the telephone and call 111.

NHS 111 Service provides out of hours clinical support for this Practice and can be contacted by dialling 111 from a landline or mobile telephone number all calls are free.  The NHS 111 Service can be contacted for medical advice. 

There is a local walk-in centre based at Litherland LIFT, Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, where you can be treated for any minor ailment or injury.

In an Emergency

If you require assistance with a life threatening medical emergency such as if you are experiencing severe chest pain, sudden disabling breathlessness, collapse or severe injury, please telephone the emergency services on 999 immediately.

For eye-related problems, there is an emergency service in operation at St Paul's Eye Unit which is held Monday to Friday from 9am to 11am or from 2pm to 4pm. For further information telephone 0151 706 3949. St Paul's Eye Unit is located in the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Disabled Access 

Wheelchair access is available via a ramp in front of the building. A disabled WC is available on the ground floor. Should you need assistance please ask at reception and a member of our staff will be pleased to help.
